The Mayan-inspired fabric used in our Guatemalan collection is handwoven in the Altos (highlands) region of southern Guatemala. The color palettes used in these beautiful handmade textiles echo the gorgeous huipils (traditional loose-fitting garments) which are created as artistic expressions of ethnic identity and regional pride. The Mayan goddess Ix Chel gave the extraordinary gift of weaving to her people, and now more than 15 centuries later, you can brighten your favorite living spaces with the same wonderful touches of Guatemalan culture.
